Our Mission
To ensure a fair, transparent and outcome-based assessment of student learning in alignment with the Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs), while promoting effective assessment practices that foster the graduate attributes prescribed by the University among students of the School of Biotechnology, MITS Bhubaneswar.

Our Objectives: Regulatory & Operational Framework
- 1Awareness and Orientation:
To familiarise students and faculty members with the MITS's examination system, assessment procedures and evaluation practices through structured orientation programmes. - 2Examination Management and Regulatory Compliance:
To plan, coordinate and conduct examinations in accordance with University regulations, the approved academic calendar and the applicable requirements of statutory and regulatory bodies. - 3Transparency and Confidentiality:
To coordinate with academic departments and the University in implementing course-specific assessment and evaluation processes that ensure transparency, fairness and confidentiality in accordance with University guidelines. - 4Degree Award Coordination:
To liaise with the University in facilitating the award of degrees across various academic programmes, ensuring adherence to the prescribed rules and regulations. - 5Continuous Improvement in Assessment Practices:
To enhance the quality and effectiveness of assessment practices through stakeholder engagement, periodic review and innovative initiatives that support continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

Two-level assessment ensures objectivity, fairness, and standardized rigor.
Harmonized evaluation of theory, practical skills, and continuous sessional assessment.
75% minimum attendance is mandatory for eligibility to appear in examinations.

Options for Twinning Courses: Students can enroll in up to 2 additional Programmes under Open & Distance Learning (ODL) or Online Mode concurrently.
