At MITS School of Biotechnology (MSB), we adhere strictly to the legal and regulatory requirements set forth by the State of Odisha and our founding charitable trust. Our governance rests on two pillars:
1. AFFILIATING UNIVERSITY
MITS School of Biotechnology is affiliated with Utkal University, Bhubaneswar – Odisha’s oldest and India’s 17th-oldest public university, established in 1943.
Act and Statues of the University MSB’s affiliation is governed by THE ORISSA UNIVERSITIES ACT, 1989 (available at https://utkaluniversity.ac.in/act/) and its statutes, which outline legal and regulatory framework of the university, including the procedures for granting affiliation to colleges and institutions.
2. MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION (MOA)
MITS School of Biotechnology (MSB) is established under the Basantdevi Charitable Trust. The Trust’s Memorandum of Association now encompasses the following core objectives and provisions:

Advance teaching and learning in biotechnology, information technology, computer applications, and applied microbiology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. - Accessibility & Inclusivity
